2020 Alumni Awards

Division Commander of the Year

The Division Commander of the Year award recognizes those regional volunteers who have provided years of service to the Fraternity and have had special achievements noted during the past twelve months.

Dino N. Bozonelos (Cal State San Bernardino)

Throughout Dino’s tenure, Alumni Advisory Boards (AABs) in his Division have seen growth and improvements, and Dino has had a hand in that process. His passion for the chapters in his Division and his brothers has fueled much of his work in recruiting and training AAB members. Most recently, Dino helped arrange a virtual service for a brother who entered the Chapter Eternal, exemplifying his love for those around him.

Even during challenging times, he continued to look for the greater good in each chapter and lend the helping hand. He encourages brothers to realize their full potential, as well as making sure they are held accountable to the Fraternity’s high standards. Brother Bozonelos encourages not only collegiate chapters to be represented at Grand Chapter, but the alumni as well. He is steadfast in supporting the achievement of the Fraternity’s honorable mission in his Division.

The Chapter Advisor of the Year award recognizes a Chapter Advisor who demonstrates a genuine commitment to the ideals of Sigma Nu and has modeled them through attendance at officer and chapter meetings, support for chapter goal-setting and achievement, assistance in the development of special chapter events and programs, and support for The Ritual and its values.

Christopher M. Foeste (Southeast Missouri State)

Christopher has served many roles as an alumnus throughout the Fraternity. He is constantly looking for areas that can be improved or areas he can help assist. He has used his time and energy to facilitate LEAD sessions for brothers, attend chapter meetings, organize year-round advisory meetings, lead the committee that oversees the chapter’s endowed scholarship, and many other selfless acts to ensure the strength of Mu Kappa Chapter.
