Biography
James Owens, Charleston, began his career with Sigma Nu in 1987 serving in a variety of roles until his departure in 2007. In summer of 2023, he was inducted as the 87th member of the Sigma Nu Hall of Honor. Later that year, he returned to the Sigma Nu team as the Chief Advancement Officer of the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation. He oversees the development team with a focus on securing major and principal gifts. James graduated with a bachelor’s in business administration from the College of Charleston in 1987. He is an avid golfer and serves on the board of the Lime Kiln Theater. He and his wife, Lucia, reside in Lexington.
