Fifth Point Properties, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sigma Nu Fraternity, Inc., was established in August 2003 to enhance the quality, safety, and long-term sustainability of chapter housing across the Fraternity. Through advising and support for house corporations, relationships with third-party service providers, and direct investment, Fifth Point Properties offers a broad range of resources to help chapters and house corporations effectively manage and improve their facilities.
Maintaining a chapter facility is an increasingly complex responsibility. Repairs and renovations, life-safety improvements, technology upgrades, and long-term property planning can place significant demands on volunteer house corporation leaders who are balancing careers, families, and other commitments.
Fifth Point Properties helps ease that burden by providing the experience, manpower, and resources needed to supplement and strengthen existing volunteer teams. Whether assisting with immediate facility needs or developing a long-term strategy for property management and improvement, Fifth Point Properties helps house corporations protect their investments and provide safe, functional, and competitive chapter homes for generations of Sigma Nu members.
Our Story
In Spring 2003, Sigma Nu Fraternity, Inc.’s High Council and Trustees began evaluating the future of housing within the Fraternity’s operations. Their discussions focused on the opportunities and challenges of becoming more directly involved in real estate and undergraduate housing, as well as the long-term viability of the Fraternity’s existing loan program.
Ultimately, Fraternity leadership determined that a successful approach to real estate would require a dedicated, business-oriented entity focused exclusively on developing sustainable housing operations and maintaining a strong, performing loan portfolio.
That vision became a reality in August 2003 with the establishment of Fifth Point Properties, LLC, marking a new chapter in Sigma Nu’s commitment to supporting quality chapter housing.
