|The General Fraternity is pleased to announce the completion of data collection for the 2014 LEAD assessment. The Fraternity would like to thank the more than 2,100 collegiate members from 166 chapters and colonies that participated in the survey.|
This February Sigma Nu conducted a fraternity-wide survey on the leadership development of our members and the implementation and benefits of our LEAD Program. Responses from our membership will be used to help strengthen the Fraternity’s educational programs.
Three survey respondents were randomly selected to receive an iPad mini with Retina display as a thank you for their participation. The Fraternity would like to recognize the following brothers as recipients of the survey participation incentive.
- David Rich (Central Oklahoma)
- Forrest Beck (Washington State)
- Kevin Bower (UC Davis)
|Additionally, one chapter was selected as the recipient of a 42” Vizio flat screen LCD television. Mu Beta Chapter (University of Alabama in Huntsville) was selected as the chapter incentive winner with 94% of its members participating in the survey.|
The General Fraternity extends its thanks to all of the chapters, colonies, and members that completed the LEAD survey.
More information regarding the results of this spring’s LEAD assessment will be shared in the coming months.
Since the inception of the LEAD Program, the Fraternity has recognized the value of conducting independent, scientific evaluation of the program to determine whether it is accomplishing its intended purpose. Measuring the strengths and weaknesses of the LEAD Program helps to drive curriculum development; the results of the survey are used to promote enthusiasm and support for LEAD among members and non-members. Independent research also provides credibility and builds academic respect for the program.
