Campus Snapshot: Home of ULL and the Eta Nu Chapter, Lafayette, LA, is the unofficial capital of Cajun Country and a metropolis which displays an extraordinary mixture of tradition and progressiveness. Having a rich French heritage blended with Spanish, American, Indian and African influences, the city represents a colorful combination of lifestyles. It is recognized by many as one of the most culturally rich and diverse areas of the country.

The second-largest university in Louisiana, ULL has an undergraduate enrollment of over 15,000 and over 20 Greek fraternities and sororities.

Chapter Profile: Founded in 1963, Brothers Dick Vaughn and Richard Fletcher, and many other Sigma Nu dignitaries, were present at the original chartering of Eta Nu Chapter #151 on May 18, 1963. For many years, the Eta Nu Chapter excelled as an outstanding fraternity on campus, regularly winning Greek week, athletic competitions and earning the top grades on campus.

Having closed in 2005, the chapter was recolonized in spring 2010 with strong support from the University and local alumni. Nearly two years of efforts culminated with the chartering and installation banquet, during which Vice-Regent Joe Francis presented the charter to the three Commanders who served during the recolonization effort.

Following the banquet at the Petroleum Club in Lafayette, the chapter celebrated their White Rose Formal as friends and guests congratulated the newly-initiated Knights.

The chapter extends its thanks to all who have supported their efforts throughout the recolonization process, and has pledged to strive for excellence as the newest-installed chapter in the Legion of Honor.
