Hammontree selected as Associate Director of Alumni & Volunteer Programs

Sigma Nu Fraternity, Inc. is pleased to announce that Mike Hammontree (UNC/Greensboro) has been selected to serve as Associate Director of Alumni & Volunteer Programs.
Mike recently completed his Master of Science degree at the University of North Carolina/Greensboro and is an initiate of the Kappa Upsilon Chapter at UNCG, where he also completed his bachelor's degree.
As an undergraduate, Mike served his chapter as Commander for two terms and the Interfraternity Council as vice president.
While in graduate school, Mike worked as a graduate assistant in the UNCG academic services and student life departments. For the last seven years, Mike has worked as a consultant for a mobile entertainment company, primarily in the collegiate market, across the country. Mike is an avid golfer and has competed in professional and national events. He previously worked for the Long Drivers of America setting up professional golf events in many locations around the country.
Mike brings to Sigma Nu extensive involvement as a community volunteer as well, having served the North Carolina Special Olympics as a golf coach and provided volunteer work for the Greensboro Boys and Girls Club, the Greensboro Habitat for Humanity and the National MS Society.
Mike is passionate about alumni development and founded his own chapter's alumni organization. When asked about his new role, Hammontree said, "I'm excited to take on this position and am looking forward to the opportunity for traveling and working with our alumni Brothers." He continued, "Our alumni are such an integral part of our organization's success, it's important that we reach out to them as much as possible and value their contributions."
