The General Fraternity is pleased to announce that on March 11th, Sigma Nu was recognized at a gala award ceremony by Outside the Classroom. Presented in conjunction with the 2010 Student Affairs in Higher Education (NASPA) annual conference in Chicago, IL, the Fraternity was recognized for its continuing efforts to provide quality alcohol prevention and education programs to its members.

Held annually, the Prevention Excellence Awards honor individuals, institutions and Greek organizations that have achieved excellence in their alcohol prevention efforts, thus significantly improving the quality of student life.

"Sigma Nu's ability to develop, implement and sustain comprehensive alcohol prevention and education clearly demonstrates your commitment to creating a healthier, safer environment within your organization. Most importantly, it is a testament to your investment in creating optimal conditions in which students can learn," said Outside the Classroom's Founder and CEO Brandon Busteed.
