Most 68th Grand Chapter events will be held at the Marriott Marquis at 901 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. Conveniently located near Penn Quarter, CityCenterDC, and the Verizon Center, our host hotel makes it easy to explore the city's best attractions. The Marriott Marquis boasts more than 105,000 square feet of event space offering 54 breakout rooms, a grand lobby with an atrium skylight, and five retail and restaurant outlets on the ground floor.

Per resolution of the 63rd Grand Chapter, the cost of lodging for one room per collegiate chapter has been incorporated into the Conclave Fee paid by collegiate chapters.

For purposes of the 68th Grand Chapter this means that collegiate voting representatives and up to 2 additional attendees per chapter (for a total of no more than 4) may have their lodging expense covered for the evenings of Sunday, July 1, through Wednesday, July 4, 2018.

Collegiate Chapters planning to send more than four (4) representatives should contact the General Fraternity at gc.info@sigmanu.org for instructions on booking additional hotel rooms.

Collegiate lodging assignments will be made by the General Fraternity and chapter representatives will be roomed together whenever possible.

Alumnus representatives should plan to reserve their own accommodations for Grand Chapter either at the Marriott Marquis or another area hotel. The General Fraternity has reserved a block of rooms at the Marriott Marquis for this purpose. Rooms in this block are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. This room block is available Sunday through Wednesday evenings, July 1-4, 2018.

The reduced rate for these rooms (single/double/triple/quad occupancy) is $169.00 + [15% tax] per night.

Instructions to book rooms at this reduced rate - online or by phone - will be provided to alumni immediately following completion of their Grand Chapter registration.

All guests who reserve rooms within the Sigma Nu group block, and who receive our reduced group rate, must be registered to attend Grand Chapter.

All Grand Chapter representatives should plan to arrive at the hotel no later than 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 1st to allow time to check-in and complete on-site Grand Chapter registration. Grand Chapter registration will open Sunday afternoon and hotel check-in will begin at 4:00 p.m. The hotel will attempt to accommodate as many early arrivals as possible. Representatives are asked to plan their travel to allow plenty of time to pick up their Grand Chapter materials and get settled before the Opening Ceremony begins at 5:00 p.m.

Those who will be driving should plan to arrive in D.C. no later than 3:30 p.m.

The Marriott Marquis is located at 901 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, D.C., 20001. Parking is available on-site to Grand Chapter attendees at the discounted rate of $30.00/day.

Those who will be flying should make arrangements to fly into either Reagan National Airport [Airport Code: DCA] or Dulles International Airport [Airport Code: IAD] and should plan to land no later than 3:00 p.m.

ALL transportation from the airport to the hotel will be at the individual’s expense:

Uber/Lyft Service to the Marriott Marquis is available on-demand and a one-way fare from DCA will cost approximately $20.00 + gratuity; from IAD, approximately $50.00 + gratuity.

The following websites are recommended for convenient access to flights and fares: www.orbitz.com, www.expedia.com, or www.travelocity.com.

Each collegiate chapter attending the 68th Grand Chapter will receive a travel reimbursement in the amount of $.15/mile ONE WAY, credited to their chapter account with the General Fraternity. All chapters that attend Grand Chapter will receive this reimbursement and mileage will be calculated based on distance from the chapter's host campus to the Marriott Marquis (regardless of where attendees are traveling from for Grand Chapter).

Grand Chapter legislative proposals should be received at the Sigma Nu Fraternity Headquarters office, in writing and in proper form, no later than May 4 to allow for advance review by the Jurisprudence Committee.
