College of Chapters is an intense, interactive program for our collegiate members focusing on leadership, teambuilding and the core principles of Sigma Nu. Moreover, it is heavily based on the curriculum of the LEAD Program and is designed to ensure that participants "learn by doing."
Held on the campuses of Washington and Lee University and Virginia Military Institute, the 2009 College of Chapters was a leadership experience unlike any other provided by the Fraternity. Over 400 collegiate and alumni brothers from across the nation gathered at the birthplace of Sigma Nu to participate in a unique brotherhood and leadership experience including:
- Riley University – a unique experiential simulation based on organizational leadership and chapter management
- Historic Tour of Lexington – from the VMI Parade Grounds to the Headquarters Shrine, participants experienced the storied past of the Fraternity's beginnings
- Small Chapter Groups – participants were matched with brothers from around the country in small groups of 10-15 to provide a comfortable setting in which to absorb and reflect on what they've learned and safely engage in interpersonal development
- Teambuilding
- And, much, much more
