Providing Dedicated Chapter Support and Guidance

Sigma Nu is committed to helping every chapter provide an exceptional fraternity experience while advancing the Fraternity’s mission of developing ethical leaders inspired by the principles of Love, Honor, and Truth. Through the Chapter Consultation & Support Program, every undergraduate chapter receives personalized guidance from a dedicated Leadership Consultant who serves as a coach, educator, and resource throughout the academic year.

Rather than evaluating chapters from a distance, Leadership Consultants work alongside undergraduate officers, alumni volunteers, and campus professionals to strengthen chapter operations, develop student leaders, share best practices, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Every consultation is tailored to the unique needs of the chapter while reinforcing Sigma Nu’s standards, strategic priorities, and commitment to organizational excellence.

Whether you are a chapter officer, advisor, volunteer, or prospective Leadership Consultant, this section provides an overview of the consultation process and explains how Sigma Nu delivers direct support to chapters across North America.

Our Consultation Model

Sigma Nu’s consultation model is built around meaningful relationships and year-round engagement. Each chapter receives a combination of virtual check-ins and on-site consultations designed to provide timely guidance, reinforce best practices, and address chapter-specific opportunities and challenges.

This balanced approach allows Leadership Consultants to provide proactive support before each semester begins, conduct in-depth on-campus consultations throughout the academic year, and follow up on chapter goals and progress before the conclusion of each term.

Virtual Check-Ins

Virtual consultations provide an opportunity for consultants and chapter leaders to connect before the start of each semester and again near the end of the academic year. These conversations focus on topics such as:

  • Semester planning and goal setting
  • Chapter operations and officer transitions
  • Financial planning and budgeting
  • Recruitment preparation
  • Pursuit of Excellence progress
  • Membership roster management
  • Chapter-specific questions and challenges

  • Commander
  • Lieutenant Commander
  • Treasurer
  • Marshal
  • LEAD Chairman

Each visit includes a facilitated chapter workshop covering topics aligned with current organizational priorities, including hazing prevention, risk reduction, ethical leadership, and chapter excellence.

More Than a Visit

The Leadership Consultant Program is about far more than scheduled consultations. Consultants serve as trusted partners who help chapters identify strengths, overcome challenges, connect with General Fraternity resources, and develop long-term strategies for success.

By combining personalized coaching with practical education and ongoing communication, the Chapter Consultation & Support Program helps ensure every Sigma Nu chapter has the resources and guidance needed to build a healthy, values-based organization that delivers a meaningful membership experience for every brother.
