Biography

Bob serves as Chairman of the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation and has remained a dedicated leader within the Fraternity since graduating from college. As an undergraduate, he served as Commander of his chapter and was selected for a prestigious all-Sigma Nu summer leadership program that included an internship with the late Senator Lloyd Bentsen, a Sigma Nu from the Upsilon Chapter at the University of Texas.

Professionally, Bob is President of The Lalanne Group, a real estate development firm specializing in infill residential and mixed-use retail projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. From 2014 to 2016, he volunteered his professional expertise to serve as the inaugural Vice Chancellor-Real Estate for University of California, Berkeley. In that role, he established the university's real estate development and asset management department, focusing on operational efficiencies and revenue-generating projects designed to maximize university assets in support of Berkeley's public mission.

Bob has also served on numerous nonprofit boards throughout the Bay Area. He and his wife, Millicent, are the proud parents of two daughters, Jacqueline and Michaela.

Biography

Joe currently serves as President and Managing Shareholder of the Kivell, Rayment & Francis law firm in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where his practice focuses on real estate and business law. An AV-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, he is a frequent lecturer and panelist on mortgage banking law and real estate transactions.

A 1978 graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Joe earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1982. During his time at Oklahoma State, he served as President of Oklahoma 4-H and Blue Key, was recognized as OSU's Outstanding Greek Man in 1978, and graduated as a Top Ten Senior.

Joe was initiated into the Epsilon Epsilon Chapter in 1975 and inducted as an Alpha Affiliate in 1978. Following graduation, he served on the staff of Sigma Nu Headquarters as a Regional Consultant before returning to support the Epsilon Epsilon Chapter as Chairman of the Advisory Board and President of the House Corporation Board. His continued service to the Fraternity included roles as Division Commander, Advisor to the High Council, two-term Vice Regent, Regent-Elect, and ultimately Regent of Sigma Nu from 2014 to 2016.

Joe and his wife, Vickey Francis (Chi Omega), have been married for 36 years and are the proud parents of two daughters, Libby (Chi Omega) and Meri Grace (Kappa Alpha Theta), as well as grandparents to two future Sigma Nus, Luke and Brooks. Active in his community and church, Joe is a member of Cornerstone Church and has served as President of the Oklahoma 4-H Foundation, President of the Metro Christian Academy Foundation, and a board member for The Little Lighthouse, a Tulsa-based school serving children with physical disabilities. In his free time, he enjoys golf, travel, and cheering on Oklahoma State and Tulsa athletics.

Tim is the Chief Financial Officer of Smith Micro Software, Inc., a company specializing in the development of mobile and network software solutions for telecommunications carriers. Prior to joining Smith Micro, he held several senior financial leadership roles with Black Box Corporation, including Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer. Throughout his career, Tim has brought extensive expertise in corporate finance, strategic planning, and operational management to the organizations he has served.

Biography

Duane is a Partner and former Managing Partner of Cesari and McKenna, LLP, an intellectual property boutique law firm based in Boston, Massachusetts. A registered patent attorney, he focuses his practice on the prosecution and litigation of patents and trademarks on a worldwide scale.

A graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Duane earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a minor in History in 1999 before receiving his Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University in 2002. During his time at MIT, he was honored with both the William L. Stewart, Jr. Award for service to student life and the Frederick Gardner Fassett, Jr. Award for service to the fraternity and sorority community.

Initiated into the Epsilon Theta Chapter in 1995 and inducted as an Alpha Affiliate in 1999, Duane served his chapter as Sentinel and Marshal, while also serving the Interfraternity Council as both Vice President and President. In addition to his campus involvement, he was a varsity oarsman on the MIT Heavyweight Crew team.

Following graduation, Duane remained actively engaged with Sigma Nu, serving for several years as both a Director and Clerk of the Epsilon Theta House Corporation Board. His service to the Fraternity expanded through roles as Division Commander and Grand Sentinel, followed by two terms as Vice Regent from 2010 to 2014. He was recognized as Division Commander of the Year in 2008 and received the Alumnus of the Biennium Award for 2008–2010. Since completing his service on the High Council, Duane has continued contributing to the Fraternity through Sigma Nu's Jurisprudence Committee, where he currently serves as Chairman.

Duane resides in Salem, Massachusetts. A devoted Boston Bruins season ticket holder, he also enjoys travel, reading, and collecting rare books.

Biography

Bill began serving as a Voting Director in 2021 and joined both the Executive Committee and Headquarters Commission in 2023. A longtime supporter of the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation since the mid-1990s, Bill is a Sales and Marketing leader in the information technology, software, and consulting industries, with more than 20 years of sales leadership experience. Prior to his corporate career, he served 23 years as a U.S. Army Field Artillery Officer before retiring from military service.

A graduate of Georgia Southern University, Bill remains deeply involved with the university, its Athletic Foundation, and the Theta Kappa Chapter. He currently serves as Southeast Beta Division Commander and Co-Chapter Advisor for the Theta Kappa Alumni Advisory Board, where he has advised the chapter since 2008, including 15 years as AAB Chairman. Bill also played a key role in alumni fundraising efforts that successfully retired the mortgage on the Theta Kappa House, making it the first fraternity house at Georgia Southern to become debt free.

A respected Sigma Nu speaker and facilitator, Bill has served as a facilitator for Sigma Nu's College of Chapters since 2016. He was recognized as Chapter Advisor of the Year for 2013-14 and Alumnus of the Biennium for 2012-14. Bill has attended more than eight Grand Chapters and has served on the Credentials Committee for the last five, including two terms as Chairman.

Bill is also a member of the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation's Omega Society alongside eight fellow Theta Kappa alumni. He resides in Macon, Georgia, with his wife, Meg, a college professor. Their daughter, Elizabeth, is also a graduate of Georgia Southern and lives in Atlanta.

John is the Managing Principal of The Benefit Company, an employee benefits consulting firm based in Atlanta, Ga. In addition to his professional responsibilities, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and United Benefit Advisors, LLC, based in Chicago, Ill. He was a member of the 2010 Class of Leadership Georgia, serves as Committee Chairman for Boy Scouts of America Troop 955, and is an usher at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church.

Within Sigma Nu, John Hearn served as the Fraternity's 66th Regent from 2018-2021. Prior to his service on the High Council, he served as Grand Sentinel, Chairman of Task Force Hopkins, and for many years as Chairman of the Mu Chapter House Corporation. As an undergraduate at Mu Chapter, he was recognized as the chapter's 2000th initiate and served as Commander.

John and his wife, Amy, reside in Atlanta, Ga., with their three children.

Biography

Jason has served on the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation Board of Directors since 2009 and currently serves as Regent-Elect. Professionally, he is a Business Manager with Arkema, a leading French chemical company. Throughout his career, he has authored more than 40 publications and presentations and holds five issued patents, with several additional patents pending. Jason and his wife, Aimee, are also owners of CrossFit King of Prussia.

In addition to his service with the Foundation, Jason has remained deeply involved with Sigma Nu through a variety of leadership roles. He has served the Mu Pi Chapter at Thomas Jefferson University as Commander, Chapter Advisor, and Worthy Commander. He has also served as Division Commander for Northeast Alpha and as a member of Task Force Due North.

Jason and Aimee reside in King of Prussia, Penn., with their two children, Chloe and Gavin.

Biography

Ryan is an initiate of the Beta Theta Chapter at Auburn University, where he earned degrees in finance and business analytics. As an undergraduate, Ryan served the chapter as Commander and Alumni Chairman and represented collegiate members nationwide as a Collegiate Grand Councilman on Sigma Nu's High Council in 2017. In 2018, he also served as a lobbyist for the Fraternal Government Relations Coalition.

Professionally, Ryan works for PricewaterhouseCoopers as a data governance and policy professional within the firm's Global Chief Data Office. In this role, he specializes in the management and protection of enterprise information assets.
Ryan resides in Birmingham, Ala., where he serves as president of a nonprofit supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Alabama and is an active member of Redeemer Community Church.

Biography

Connor began serving on the board in July 2021. A graduate of Butler University, he earned both a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and an MBA. Professionally, Connor serves as an Account Executive and Pharmacy Subject Matter Expert with LHD Benefit Advisors, an employee benefits consulting firm based in Indianapolis, Ind. He also currently serves on the Housing Board for the Epsilon Mu Chapter.

As an undergraduate member of Epsilon Mu Chapter, Connor served as both Commander and House Manager. He additionally represented collegiate members nationwide as a Collegiate Grand Councilman on Sigma Nu's High Council in 2017. During his collegiate career, Connor was recognized as an Alpha Affiliate, Sigma Nu Man of the Year, and recipient of the NIC Undergraduate Award of Distinction.

Connor resides in Indianapolis, Ind., with his wife, Lauren.

Raaif is an initiate of the Theta Eta Chapter at Northern Illinois University, where he served as Commander, Vice President of the NIU Interfraternity Council, and Student Body President. In 2021, he represented collegiate members nationwide as a Collegiate Grand Councilman on Sigma Nu's High Council. Today, Raaif continues his service to the Fraternity as Lt. Commander of the Theta Eta Alumni Chapter and as a volunteer with the Theta Eta Chapter Alumni Advisory Board and NIU's Greek Alumni Council.

Professionally, Raaif serves as a Senior Specialist and Technical Account Manager at Qualtrics, where he oversees enterprise clients and helps design and implement experience management programs.

Outside of his professional and fraternal commitments, Raaif is active in local civic organizations and enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling.

Biography

Steve serves as the Regent of Sigma Nu Fraternity and has dedicated more than 35 years of service to the Fraternity through a wide range of volunteer and staff leadership roles. At the national level, Steve has served as a Division Commander, Grand Marshal, Vice Regent, Grand Treasurer, and member of the General Fraternity staff. He has also served on the Beta Eta Chapter House Corporation and Alumni Advisory Board, as well as the Nu Epsilon Alumni Advisory Board. As an undergraduate member of Beta Eta Chapter, Steve served as Recruitment Chairman, Chaplain, and a member of the Executive Committee.

Professionally, Steve is the Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer of CSL Management, the nation's largest company specializing in fraternity and sorority housing operations and management. CSL currently serves approximately 150 campuses and has overseen more than $200 million in fraternity and sorority housing capital improvement projects over the past decade. Steve also serves as Chief Executive Officer of FRMT, Ltd., a member-owned specialty insurance company serving the fraternal community.

Steve resides in Cleveland, Tenn., where he has served his community through numerous nonprofit boards and local elected office. He is also an ordained Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church within the Diocese of Knoxville, Tenn.

Steve and his wife, Lucy, an Alpha Omicron Pi, have three children - Christina, a member of Zeta Tau Alpha; Laura, a member of Kappa Delta; and Stephen (Mississippi) - as well as six grandchildren.
