The honorable Mission of Sigma Nu Fraternity is:
To develop ethical leaders inspired by the principles of Love, Honor, and Truth.
To foster the personal growth of each man’s mind, heart, and character.

Vision
Excelling with Honor
Our Principles
The three principles prescribed by Sigma Nu’s Founders were Love, Honor, and Truth. Upon these enduring ideals, they chose to build their new Fraternity. They believed that practical idealists, united and bound by these principles, could more effectively develop the character and integrity that open the door to greater opportunity and achievement in a free and democratic society. Through the study, understanding, and application of Sigma Nu’s Cardinal Principles, better men would be formed and ethical leaders would emerge.
Love
Love is expressed through genuine friendship, mutual respect, trust, and brotherhood. More than words, it is demonstrated through kindness, patience, encouragement, and service to one another, fostering the character and integrity essential to becoming ethical leaders and responsible citizens.
Honor
Honor is rooted in personal integrity, honesty, and moral responsibility. Inspired by the Virginia Military Institute Honor Code, it calls each member to govern his actions with conscience, sincerity, and ethical character, ensuring that Honor remains the foundation of brotherhood, leadership, and lifelong trust.
Truth
Truth is a lifelong pursuit of knowledge, wisdom, and ethical understanding. Through open dialogue, shared experiences, and responsible leadership, members are challenged to seek truth honestly, think critically, and lead with integrity in service to others and society.
