What’s the Difference?
While both organizations help alumni stay engaged with Sigma Nu, they serve different purposes.
An Alumni Chapter is affiliated with a specific collegiate chapter and serves as its official alumni organization. Alumni Chapters strengthen the bond between generations of brothers by supporting the undergraduate chapter, preserving its traditions, organizing reunions and events, and encouraging alumni involvement.
In addition to providing fellowship opportunities, Alumni Chapters often work closely with chapter leadership, Alumni Advisory Boards, and House Corporations to ensure the continued success of the collegiate chapter. Alumni Chapters in good standing also have representation at Sigma Nu’s Grand Chapter, reinforcing their important role in the governance of the Fraternity.
An Alumni Club brings together Sigma Nu alumni living within the same city or geographic region, regardless of where they were initiated. These clubs create opportunities for brothers from different chapters to connect through networking events, social gatherings, community service, and regional Fraternity activities.
