Issue: Fall 2025

Over the weekend of September 5-7, the Fraternity proudly celebrated the rechartering of the Eta Kappa Chapter at San Diego State University. The festivities began on Friday with a campus tour, a meet-and-greet with the university’s fraternity and sorority advisor, and a lively alumni fiesta hosted at the home of Chapter Advisor Keith Uchida. On Saturday, 118 men were initiated into the Legion of Honor during a Ritual ceremony held at the Goodall Alumni Center, attended by approximately 25 alumni. The Ritual Team was led by Regent Steve Ratterman (Indiana) and joined by Eta Kappa alumni Jim Stark (Advisor Emeritus), Keith Uchida (Chapter Advisor), Wally Wallace (Alumni Advisory Board Member), and Erick Kand. That evening, the chapter hosted a rechartering banquet to commemorate the return of the Eta Kappa charter. Speakers included collegiate leaders Shane Erbst (Commander) and Corbin Klein (Lt. Commander); campus representative Kristen Lemaster, Director of the Pierce Greek Life Center; alumni leaders Jim Stark, Keith Uchida, and Wally Wallace; and General Fraternity Staff members Chaysen Babcock (Northern Arizona) and Mac McNeilly (Huntingdon). Alumnus Cameron Williams presented $16,000 in scholarships to the collegiate chapter, and Regent Ratterman offered remarks celebrating the Eta Kappa’s history and future. Special guests in attendance included Division Commanders Dino Bozonelos (Cal State San Bernardino) and Jordan Wu (Cal Poly Pomona), along with many alumni and friends who helped officially welcome the Eta Kappa Chapter back to SDSU.
