Brother Gabe Simon of the Delta Epsilon Chapter at the University of Oklahoma has been awarded the 2026 Weisblat Aviation Scholarship from the Sigma Alpha Mu Foundation, receiving a $5,000 scholarship to support his education and flight training. A sophomore pursuing aviation, Simon is the first Sigma Nu member and the first University of Oklahoma student to receive the prestigious scholarship. The award is administered by the Sigma Alpha Mu Foundation and is open to qualified aviation students, including children of Sigma Alpha Mu members. Simon’s father is a Sigma Alpha Mu alumnus initiated into the fraternity’s Beta Chapter at Cornell University. The scholarship highlights the spirit of interfraternal cooperation and recognizes Simon’s commitment to academic and professional excellence. Congratulations to Brother Simon on this outstanding achievement and best wishes as he continues pursuing a career in aviation.

In early March, the Delta Epsilon Chapter at the University of Oklahoma earned strong recognition at the university’s annual Interfraternity Council Awards Banquet. The chapter received the Silver Excellence Award for its overall achievements, while Eminent Commander Boston Thomas was honored as IFC Member of the Year.

On September 18, the Delta Epsilon Chapter at the University of Oklahoma hosted a car wash for philanthropy. The chapter raised over $1,000 for OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center.
