Kappa Chapter at the University of North Georgia celebrated a new milestone on May 16 with its inaugural Commander’s Dinner. Joining a growing tradition embraced by Sigma Nu chapters across the country, the event was established to recognize chapter leadership, celebrate brotherhood, and honor the chapter’s rich heritage. Eleven brothers attended the dinner, highlighted by Kappa Chapter alumnus and former Sigma Nu Commander Craig Strickland knighting undergraduate Brother Lincoln Sosebee as the newest Commander to lead Kappa Chapter. The Commander’s Dinner recognizes those entrusted with the collegiate chapter’s highest office while reinforcing Sigma Nu’s principles of Love, Honor, and Truth. It provides an opportunity for brothers to reflect on the responsibilities of leadership, the value of personal growth, and the lifelong bonds of brotherhood. Kappa Chapter plans to continue the Commander’s Dinner as an annual tradition, strengthening connections between current members and the alumni leaders whose service has helped shape the chapter’s legacy.
