A remarkable legacy moment recently unfolded at the Epsilon Xi Chapter, as Regent Steve Ratterman‘s (Indiana) grandson, Will Ratterman(center), was initiated into the Legion of Honor on Sunday, February 15. The occasion marked a deeply meaningful milestone for the Ratterman family. Will follows in the footsteps of his father, Stephen Ratterman (left)—also an Epsilon Xi initiate—and continues a multi-generational Sigma Nu tradition. With Will’s initiation, the Ratterman family proudly celebrates five generations of brotherhood in Sigma Nu, a testament to their enduring commitment to the Fraternity.
Epsilon Xi Chapter alumnus Sam Hix recently made a transformative $100,000 gift to the University of Mississippi’s Patterson School of Accountancy. Brother Hix contributed $50,000 – matched by Deloitte – to support the naming of faculty offices in the school’s new facility. Hix’s gift honors the profound impact of faculty mentors, including fellow Epsilon Xi alumnus Dr. Jimmy Davis, who served as both a professor and Chapter Advisor during Hix’s time at Ole Miss. New American flags are now proudly flying both inside and outside the McComb Railroad Depot, thanks to generous donations from Jim McIntyre of A Complete Flag Source in Jackson and the Judith Robinson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. McIntyre donated the exterior flag in memory of Epsilon Xi Chapter alumnus Dr. Ralph Brock, with several of Brock’s chapter brothers present for the installation.
