On July 9, the Gamma Mu Chapter at the University of Illinois continued its longstanding tradition of hosting its annual Alumni and Undergraduate Leadership Dinner at the historic Chicago Club, which was founded in 1869, the same year as the Fraternity. The event celebrated the chapter’s 124-year legacy while bringing together undergraduate officers and alumni for an evening of fellowship and mentorship. Among those in attendance was Regent Steve Ratterman (Indiana), who joined alumni and undergraduate leaders in recognizing the chapter’s continued commitment to excellence. The gathering provided an opportunity for current student leaders to connect with alumni whose support and guidance continue to strengthen Gamma Mu’s success.

The Gamma Mu Chapter proudly hosted its Annual Alumni and Undergraduate Leadership Dinner on July 10 at the Chicago Club, commemorating 123 years of excellence at the University of Illinois. Chartered in 1902, the Gamma Mu Chapter of Sigma Nu became the ninth fraternity on campus and has since built a distinguished legacy. In 1931, during the tenure of Sigma Nu Brother Harry Woodburn Chase (Dartmouth) as President of the University, the chapter constructed its iconic 16,000-square-foot Georgian-style chapter house on Pennsylvania Avenue, where members continue to reside today.
On September 13, brothers from the Gamma Mu Chapter at the University of Illinois joined forces with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to building and delivering free beds for children in need, ensuring no child has to sleep on the floor.
