Brother Orri Zussman (far left in photo) of the Delta Gamma Chapter at Columbia University is putting his engineering skills to the test as a key member of Columbia Combat Robotics, a student organization that designs, builds, and competes with combat robots in intercollegiate tournaments. A mechanical engineering student, Zussman serves as a core builder of Roar-E, the team’s battle robot, designing and fabricating components through every stage of the engineering process, from 3D modeling and printing to machining and final assembly. His work recently helped the team compete in its first National Havoc Robot League (NHRL) Pro World Championships, where Columbia posted a 3-2 record to qualify for the next round of NHRL competition.
