The Epsilon Alpha Chapter at the University of Arizona continues to demonstrate how fraternity chapters can be positive and valued members of their local communities. On April 22, the Rincon Heights Neighborhood Association selected Sigma Nu as a featured stop during a neighborhood tour for newly elected Tucson City Council member Miranda Schubert and Pima County Supervisor Andres Cano. Brothers Carson Teagarden and Jared Church welcomed the visitors, highlighting the chapter’s ongoing partnerships with neighborhood residents and its commitment to being a good neighbor. According to University of Arizona Executive Director of Community Relations Julie Katsel, neighborhood leaders specifically requested that Sigma Nu be included on the tour so the brothers could showcase the strong relationships they have built within the community. She praised the chapter’s efforts as “a great example of community building” and noted how impressed both she and neighborhood residents were with the young men. The recognition reflects Epsilon Alpha’s sustained commitment to fostering positive relationships with its neighbors and serves as an outstanding example of how Sigma Nu chapters can strengthen their campuses and communities through consistent engagement and responsible leadership.

This spring, the Kappa Lambda Chapter at the University of Akron earned top honors at the 50th Annual Greek Leadership Awards, bringing home an impressive slate of recognitions that reflect a year of sustained excellence. The chapter was awarded the prestigious Dean’s Cup as IFC Chapter of the Year, alongside recognition with the Interfraternal Award. Individual members of the chapter were also recognized. Brother Connor DeLury was named IFC President of the Year and Lincoln Barnhart received the Thomas J. Vukovich Award for Outstanding Leadership. Alumni impact was also celebrated, with Shon Christy earning the Distinguished Alumni Service Award. Kappa Lambda’s commitment to operational excellence was further affirmed with “Excellence” distinctions in Academic Achievement, Member Development, Recruitment/Intake, Chapter Operations, and Community and Campus Involvement, as well as “Achievement” honors in Civic Responsibility and Health and Safety.

Over the weekend of November 9, 2025, the fall candidate class of the Epsilon Alpha Chapter at the University of Arizona put service into action through a canned food drive benefiting members of the local community. The men worked together to collect food donations that were delivered to a nearby pantry supporting individuals and families facing food insecurity.

During the week of September 30-October 5, the Epsilon Alpha Chapter at the University of Arizona hosted its annual Sets N Nets philanthropy week. The week’s events included a petting zoo, goat yoga, a percentage night at Jimmy’s Pita & Poke, and concluded with the signature Sets N Nets Volleyball Tournament. In total, the chapter raised $10,000 in support of Children of Fallen Patriots, an organization that provides college and trade school scholarships, educational assistance, and career support to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.
