The Zeta Upsilon Chapter at Arizona State University recently received national recognition when Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs honored the chapter on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. During his remarks, Rep. Biggs commended the chapter’s commitment to academic excellence, civic engagement, leadership, and service, specifically highlighting the chapter’s partnerships with organizations such as Childhelp and the Food Recovery Network. He also praised the involvement of Sigma Nu members in student government and campus leadership roles, noting that the men of Sigma Nu are “thoughtful, driven, and deeply committed to serving others.” A copy of Rep. “Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I rise today to recognize the outstanding young men of Sigma Nu Fraternity at Arizona State University. I had the pleasure of spending time with this group last month and am encouraged by their honorable character, discipline in the classroom, and desire to do good in the community. ASU Sigma Nu has a rich understanding of our Constitution and recognizes the importance of civic engagement. They also desire to make a meaningful difference to those around them, routinely partnering with organizations like Childhelp and the Food Recovery Network to fight food waste and hunger. Sigma Nu members are also leaders who serve in ASU’s student government and in a variety of campus clubs. When young men surround themselves with peers who challenge them to grow and live with integrity, they are better prepared to serve their families, communities, and the nation. The men I met at Sigma Nu were thoughtful, driven, and deeply committed to serving others. I have no doubt they will continue to make a just and positive impact on their campus, throughout Arizona, and across our country. I thank them for their leadership, their example, and their commitment to these timeless values. Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I yield back.”

The Fraternity proudly congratulates Theta Chapter Commander Gaines Johnson and Brothers Jacob Bailey, Jack Harris, and Jacques Broussard on their selection to the 113th class of Jason’s Senior Men’s Honorary at the University of Alabama. Each year, just 40 men are inducted into this prestigious honorary, recognizing the most influential rising seniors on campus. Selections are based on a rigorous evaluation of scholarship, leadership, character, and campus involvement. This honor reflects not only the individual achievements of these brothers, but also the strong leadership presence of Theta Chapter within the campus community.

The Fraternity congratulates Brother Cameron De La Torre on being selected as a recipient of the prestigious Order of Omega 1959 Scholarship. Chosen among the top fraternity and sorority leaders across North America, De La Torre received the Parker F. Enright Scholarship in recognition of his leadership, academic achievement, and service. Order of Omega recognizes only the top five percent of students within campus fraternity and sorority communities. This year, the organization awarded 88 scholarships totaling more than $62,000 to outstanding individuals across 52 campuses. Just in time for Halloween, the brothers from the Zeta Upsilon Chapter at Arizona State University hosted their annual Sigma Boo philanthropy week. The week was packed with spirited events, including the chapter’s Bachelor Auction, Haunted House, a restaurant percentage night, and the grand finale, Dancing with the SNUs. In total, the chapter raised an impressive $45,000 in support of their long-time philanthropic partner, ChildHelp.

Over the weekend of January 8-11, 57 collegiate members and six alumni brothers of the Zeta Upsilon Chapter made history with the chapter’s first-ever pilgrimage to Lexington—the birthplace of Sigma Nu. In coordination with alumni support, the brothers traveled from Arizona to Virginia for a once-in-a-generation experience that included touring the grounds of Virginia Military Institute, visiting Sigma Nu Headquarters, and engaging in meaningful opportunities for chapter growth and reflection. During the pilgrimage, the men connected with distinguished alumni leaders and friends of the Fraternity, including Regent Steve Ratterman (Indiana), Vice Regents Tim Braddick (Cincinnati) and David Glassman (Eastern Michigan), Executive Director Brad Beacham (Texas Christian), Past Executive Director Mo Littlefield (Maine), and Regent’s Medallion of Merit recipient Dr. Dawn Wiese.

On the December 2025 episode of The Gavel Podcast, the Fraternity interviewed Zeta Upsilon alumnus Dominic Frattura, Director of Advocacy for the North American Interfraternity Conference. Dom leads the NIC’s government relations efforts and works to build strategic partnerships with students and professionals across higher education and public policy. During the episode, Dom shares more about the NIC’s ENGAGE initiative and the important work being done to encourage fraternity men to pursue leadership opportunities on their campuses and beyond. Hi Rickety and congratulations to Zeta Upsilon Chapter brothers Cameron De La Torre (left) and Stegner Bell (right), who were recently selected to receive scholarships from Order of Omega. Order of Omega is a Greek-letter honorary organization that recognizes the top 5% of individuals within a fraternity and sorority community. Their scholarship program was established to recognize academic achievements, participation and leadership in campus organizations, citizenship, and service to the Order of Omega and the campus community. Since 1985, Order of Omega has awarded over $1.6 million for undergraduate scholarships and master and doctoral fellowships. In notifying the Fraternity of Cameron and Stegner’s recognition, Order of Omega shared, “Receiving a scholarship is not only a testament to their academic endeavors but acknowledges the impact that they have had on their campus communities. Their dedication and commitment to serve is an inspiration to others and I have no doubt that they have excelled within your fraternity. They are wonderful representatives not only for their chapters but of Sigma Nu. Thank you for providing them with a strong foundation and leadership opportunities so that they can continue to inspire others.”
