Kappa Epsilon Chapter at Appalachian State University welcomed more than 40 alumni back to Boone during the weekend of April 11 for a memorable celebration of brotherhood and lifelong connection. The festivities began with an evening gathering featuring cornhole, music, and fellowship before continuing the following day with a tailgate for Appalachian State’s baseball game against the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where alumni and undergraduates enjoyed food, yard games, and time together. The weekend brought together brothers from multiple generations, including former Chapter Commander Chad Smith and former Appalachian State golfer and Sigma Nu Athlete of the Year Addison Beam, providing current members the opportunity to learn from alumni while strengthening the relationships that continue to support Kappa Epsilon’s success. Special thanks go to Alumni Relations Chairman Holden Miller for organizing a successful alumni weekend.

Green Street is officially a little cleaner thanks to the efforts of the Kappa Epsilon Chapter’s recent service initiative. On March 1, brothers organized a street cleanup as part of the Adopt-A-Street Program in Boone, North Carolina. Special recognition goes to Brother Dylan Grandits for coordinating the project.

In late September, brothers from the Kappa Epsilon Chapter at Appalachian State University partnered with the Watauga Humane Society for a day of service. The members helped with tasks around the shelter to improve their capacity to care for area animals in need. Special thanks goes to Brother Jack Goodwin for his leadership in organizing the effort for the chapter.

The Kappa Epsilon Chapter hosted its annual Alumni Weekend over the weekend of October 3-4. The events and activities coordinated by Alumni Relations Chairman Wren Gower included an alumni tailgate for the App State vs. Oregon State football game and an alumni cocktail at Southend Brewing as a welcome reception for alumni making the return trip to Boone.
