Resources and guidance on COVID-19 provided by the General Fraternity are intended to support collegiate chapters, alumni volunteers, and alumni governed entities in navigating unique challenges presented by the pandemic. Above all, collegiate and alumni members should prioritize their personal health and wellbeing.
According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) at CDC.gov the COVID-19 virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet) through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. Protecting yourself and others involve continual personal decisions and actions. The information available at CDC.gov provides that everyone should cover their mouth and nose with a cloth face covering when around others, wash their hands often, avoid close contact (staying at least 6 feet away from other people), cover coughs and sneezes, clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily, and monitor their health daily. Keep yourself informed on local, state, and CDC guidance.
