Campus Snapshot: The Georgia Southern University campus lies in the land of pines in Statesboro, Georgia. Although the large campus is in the midst of a small town, it is only one hour from Savannah and the beach. GSU, a public co-educational research university boasts an aggressive Greek community seeking rapid growth with a student body of approximately 16,000 students.
Chapter Profile: The chapter was first chartered in 1970. In 2004, the chapter was closed. Now, six years later, the Theta Kappa Chapter is strong again. With one of the highest GPAs among fraternities, manpower over 40 men, and the best house on campus, the Chapter has laid the groundwork for long-term success.
On February 27, 2010, after 2 years of hard work, the Theta Kappa Chapter was rechartered, initiating 29 knights. The chartering was a great success with nearly 200 people in attendance.
The Theta Kappa Chapter would like to recognize Joy Hamm, Director of Greek Life & Assistant Dean. They would also like to give a very special thanks to their alumni, parents, Sigma Nu staff, Joe Gilman and the High Council for helping to make the Theta Kappa rechartering a success.
