With the New Year now well underway, the General Fraternity is pleased to announce that two new Leadership Consultants and one new Expansion and Recruitment Consultant have joined our staff. Chris Hager (Ball State) and Andrew Meeks (Kent State) will be visiting our existing chapters while Nick Claghorn (Indiana) will be helping to establish Rock Chapters for the future. Before the three of them hit the road, however, we thought we should take a moment for some brief introductions. . .

Chris Hager Chris Hager (Theta Nu, Ball State) - Chris is a recent graduate of Ball State University in Muncie, Ind., where he received his bachelor's degree in Public Relations with a minor in Travel and Tourism. While at Ball State, Chris was active in Sigma Nu serving as LEAD Chairman, Community Service and Philanthropy Chairman and was also involved in various committees including Recruitment, Social and Fundraising. Outside of Sigma Nu, Chris served as the Vice President of Internal Affairs of the Interfraternity Council, the Public Relations Chairman for Greek Week Steering Committee and was involved with the Public Relations Student Society of America, Cardinal Communications, the Student Government Association and the New Student Center.

Born and raised in Eastern Kentucky, Chris was born in the small town of Frenchburg into a family that bleeds UK Blue, and he has been a UK fan since he was very young. However, he also is a Cincinnati Bearcats fan, which sometimes causes trouble within the Hager household. His professional goals include attending graduate school for Student Affairs and Higher Education or pursuing a career in public relations for the travel and tourism industry.

Andrew Meeks Andrew Meeks (Zeta Gamma, Kent State) - Andrew is a recent graduate of Kent State University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Advertising with a minor in Marketing. During his time with the Zeta Gamma Chapter, Andrew served as a multiple term Commander, Lt. Commander and Marshal. He was also heavily involved in other activities outside of Sigma Nu, serving as the Research and Development Senator on the Undergraduate Student Senate, teaching freshman orientation, being involved with the Judicial Advocates program and serving on a multitude of other committees and boards, including the Public Safety Advisory Council and the Space Planning Committee. He studied Shodokan karate and is a black belt and received the Kent State Excellence in Leadership Award in both 2005 and 2006.

Andrew was born and raised in North Canton, Ohio, where he was involved in sports from the time he could pick up a ball. He is a diehard Michigan Wolverines and Cleveland sports fan, even though he knows it almost always involves getting his heart broken. His career goals include going back to school for his MBA and working in corporate advertising for a reputable company such as Nike or Coca-Cola.

Nick Claghorn Nick Claghorn (Beta Eta, Indiana) - Nick graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. in May of 2006 with bachelor's degrees in Sports Communications and Journalism. His involvement in the Beta Eta chapter of Sigma Nu included two tenures as Intramural Chair, both yielding top-three finishes among all fraternities. Outside of the chapter, Nick worked as a head official and supervisor at the Recreational Sports Office for four years and was a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). Nick also spent the summer of 2005 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with a minor league baseball team as a Public Relations/Media Relations intern. Nick cites the experience of attending Grand Chapter in St. Louis, Mo., in 2004 as one that truly made him want to continue his loyalty and dedication to Sigma Nu post-graduation.

Originally from Carmel, Ind., Nick has aspirations to work in public relations in the sports industry, preferably professional baseball. He still loves the Chicago Cubs and is waiting in line to get World Series tickets when they go on sale. Besides sports, Nick's interests include politics and playing the bass guitar.
