The Iota Gamma Chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity at Mississippi State University was originally founded in 1974. After closing in 1994, the chapter was dormant for thirteen years before being recolonized in the spring 2007. Today, the Iota Gamma Colony is making great strides toward earning their charter back, after which the members will be initiated and recognized as the re-founding fathers of the chapter.
Sigma Nu is committed to its founding principles of Love, Honor and Truth, and has stood in firm opposition to hazing since being founded in 1869 at the Virginia Military Institute. We are looking for outstanding men who want to get involved on campus, gain valuable leadership skills and training, develop themselves personally and professionally, create meaningful and lifelong relationships and get the most out of their collegiate experience.
This is going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity to build a truly outstanding organization and create a legacy of honor. The traditions started here will be known 50 to 100 years from now and will be started by the men who join today.
