Thomas M. Lofton National Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Thomas M. Lofton.

Brother Thomas M. Lofton, a member of Sigma Nu’s Hall of Honor, the highest honor that can be bestowed on a Knight, was a member of the Epsilon Mu Chapter (Butler) and the Beta Eta Chapter (Indiana).  Brother Lofton dedicated his life to serving Sigma Nu.  He was a devoted Brother who took great pride in helping chapter members succeed.

When the Epsilon Mu Chapter was recolonized in 2002, Brother Lofton made a significant contribution which was used to establish a scholarship fund for the chapter.  Since 2002, Epsilon Mu has won the coveted Rock Chapter Award five times and the chapter attributes much of its success to the scholarship fund established by Brother Lofton.  Brother Lofton also established a similar fund for the Beta Eta Chapter that has had a lasting impact on that chapter as well.

Brother Lofton believed that education was the key to individual success and was proud to support the scholastic achievements of Sigma Nu members.  We are grateful for the Brothers and friends who have helped honor Brother Lofton with this fund and hope his legacy will live on through those who benefit from it.
