Lexington, Va. – Sigma Nu Fraternity received notice of additional arrest warrants being issued in connection to the ongoing investigation of the death of Sigma Nu member Anton Gridnev.

“We remain deeply concerned by the criminal charges filed against a number of chapter members. All members are expected to fully comply with the law. The Fraternity continues to support, however possible, the investigation by local authorities and Texas A&M officials,” said Brad Beacham, Executive Director of Sigma Nu Fraternity, Inc. “Once all information is known, the Fraternity will take appropriate action in accordance with fraternity principles and polices.”

Sigma Nu officials are continuing to work with Texas A&M officials to provide as much ongoing support as possible to those affected.  In addition, the national office of the fraternity has suspended the chapter, and the four members arrested by College Station, Texas police last month pending the outcome of a full investigation.

Headquartered in Lexington, Va., Sigma Nu Fraternity was founded at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington. The Fraternity currently has 165 chapters and colonies and has initiated more than 235,000 members since its founding.
